To declare your major or minor:

There is no application process to become a history major. You only need to complete one of the forms below. However, we strongly recommend setting up a time to talk with an advisor before declaring. All tenured and tenure-track professors serve as advisors. Please set up a time to meet with one of your favorite history professors to discuss the major and your future goals. They can also complete your declaration form with you. Professors’ office hours are listed here

Degree planning sheets can be used to map out your progress: History BAHistory-Social StudiesHistory-Elementary, History Minor and Public History Minor.

Major evaluations for graduation: History BA, History-Social StudiesHistory-ElementaryHistory Minor and Public History Minor

If you are  interested in designing your own thematic field, please discuss your interests with an advisor and then complete the thematic field planning sheet.
