Thank you for considering a gift to
the College of Humanities and Social Sciences!
Any gift is greatly appreciated and will make a tremendous impact in the lives of our students, faculty and programs. You can choose to support any academic department or major within the College or support the College as a whole.
Dean's Fund for Excellence
Donations to the CHSS Dean's Fund for Excellence are used to provide educational experiences for students outside the classroom that can include:
- Facilitating student participation at conferences or other experiential learning opportunities.
- Bringing well known speakers to campus or hosting conferences.
- Helping to support campus-wide events like Western Reads, the WWU Graduate Student Research Conference, and many others.
- Showcasing the relevance of faculty scholarship to the community through our quarterly Dean's Lecture Series.
Other funding opportunities include scholarships, faculty support, expanding student access to international education, and many other possibilities to enrich the Western experience.
Direct Departmental/Programmatic Support
Your gift to any of our academic departments or programs creates opportunities for students that are not funded by state and tuition dollars yet remain crucial as students work to build their resume, curriculum-vitae and network of peers and mentors. These opportunities include departmental scholarships, travel to conferences, participation on faculty-led research projects, service learning and internships.
Your gift will help enhance the learning opportunities for our students!
